MU20 is a community where students can meet people, exchange ideas, participate in programmes and build alongside one another.

These guidelines apply to community activity across MU20 World and the MU20 mobile application, including the Forum, profiles, Passport, comments and other interactive areas.

You must be 13 or older to use MU20.

Child Safety Standards

MU20 prohibits child sexual abuse and exploitation (CSAE) in any form. This includes child sexual abuse material (CSAM), grooming, sexual exploitation, sexualisation of minors, and attempts to solicit sexual content or inappropriate sexual contact from a minor.

MU20 will take action when it becomes aware of such content or behaviour, including removal, account restriction or termination, and escalation to appropriate authorities where required by applicable law.

Keep MU20 useful and safe

MU20 includes students from different schools, cities, backgrounds and age groups.

Discussion, disagreement and debate are welcome. Abuse is not.

The following content and behaviour are not permitted.

Bullying, harassment and threats

Do not target, intimidate, humiliate, threaten or repeatedly harass another person.

Hate and discrimination

Do not attack or demean people based on protected or personal characteristics.

Sexual content and exploitation

Sexually explicit or pornographic content is not permitted.

Content involving the sexual exploitation or abuse of minors is strictly prohibited and may be reported to appropriate authorities where required by applicable law.

Sharing someone's private information

Do not publish another person's private or identifying information without permission.

This includes doxxing or using private information to threaten, embarrass or harm someone.

Impersonation and misleading identities

Do not impersonate another student, MU20 representative or any other person.

Do not deliberately misrepresent your identity in order to deceive other users.

Spam, scams and manipulation

Do not use MU20 to spam users, operate scams, distribute deceptive content or manipulate Platform functionality.

Illegal or dangerous activity

Do not encourage, glorify or provide instructions for suicide, self-harm, eating disorders or other behaviour likely to cause serious physical harm. Supportive or educational discussion of these subjects is not prohibited.

Intellectual property

Only post material you have the right to share.

Do not knowingly upload or distribute content that infringes another person's copyright or other rights.

Forum and community content

The Forum allows eligible or enrolled MU20 users to exchange ideas through posts, comments and other supported content formats. Creating an MU20 account does not by itself guarantee permission to publish in the Forum. MU20 does not provide private direct messaging between users. 

What you post may be visible to other users who have access to the relevant community. Think carefully before publishing personal information about yourself or anyone else.

Report something

If you see something that violates these Guidelines, use the available Report controls.

Depending on the relevant feature, you may be able to report:

  • A post

  • A comment

  • A user

Reports may be reviewed by MU20 administrators or moderators.

Block someone

Where blocking is available, you can block another user.

Blocking is designed to limit interaction and visibility between the relevant accounts.

You can manage blocked users through the applicable account settings.

How moderation works

MU20 may use keyword-based filtering and other automated signals to flag or hold potentially objectionable content.

Reported or flagged material may be reviewed by human moderators.

Depending on the circumstances, MU20 may:

  • Remove a post or comment

  • Restrict community functionality

  • Suspend an account

  • Terminate an account

  • Take other reasonable action necessary to protect users and the Platform

MU20 aims to review reports promptly, with urgent safety matters prioritised appropriately.

Younger users

Some members of MU20 are under 18.

Do not pressure another student to share personal information, photographs, contact information or anything they are uncomfortable sharing.

Content or behaviour that exploits, sexualises, threatens or deliberately endangers a minor is strictly prohibited.

Your responsibility

You are responsible for what you publish and how you interact with other members.

Disagreement is allowed.

Personal attacks, exploitation and abuse are not.
