PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: 15 September 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how MUNIVERSITI EDCORP PRIVATE LIMITED (“MU20”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) collects, uses, shares, stores and protects personal information when you use MU20 World, including mu20.world, mu20.in and the MU20 mobile application (together, the “Platform”).
1. Who can use MU20
MU20 is intended for users aged 13 and above. We do not knowingly permit children under 13 to create or maintain accounts.
Some MU20 users are under the age of 18. We take additional care when handling information relating to younger users, particularly in connection with profiles, community features and user-generated content.
Where applicable law requires consent or authorisation from a parent or guardian for particular processing or Platform functionality, MU20 will apply the applicable consent or authorisation requirements.
If you believe that a child under 13 has provided personal information to MU20, please contact us using the details below so that we can investigate and take appropriate action.
2. Account creation and programme access
Users may create an MU20 account using an email address and supported authentication methods.
Creating an account does not automatically enrol a user in an MU20 programme or provide access to all Platform features.
Certain clubs, events, resources, communities and other features may be restricted to users whose accounts are associated with an eligible MU20 programme or event.
Access to community features may depend on programme eligibility. In particular, the ability to publish content in the Forum is limited to eligible or enrolled MU20 users and is not automatically available merely because someone has created an account.
3. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the Platform.

We may collect:

Authentication may be provided through Clerk, email-based authentication, Google Sign-In, or Sign in with Apple, depending on the options available to you.
If you choose Google or Apple authentication, we receive the information made available through that authentication process, which may include your name, email address and sign-in identifier.

Information you intentionally publish through community features may be visible to other users who have access to the relevant community.
MU20 does not currently provide private direct messaging between users.
Photos, videos, files and documents
When you choose to capture or upload media or files, the Platform may request access to your camera, microphone, photo library, or the specific photos, videos, files and documents you select.
These permissions are used only when you choose to capture or upload content for supported features such as Forum posts, profiles, Passport, programme participation or Help & Support.
MU20 does not require access to your entire photo, video or file library where your device allows you to select individual items. MU20 does not continuously access your camera or microphone in the background.

Your account information
The contents of your support request

We do not use PostHog data for advertising or cross-app tracking.
Information we do not collect for these purposes
MU20 does not collect payment-card or banking information through the mobile application.
We do not collect facial biometric information for identification or authentication.
We do not use personal information for advertising or cross-app tracking.

MU20 administrators and moderators may review content that has been reported or flagged.
We may use keyword-based filtering and other automated signals to identify or hold potentially objectionable content for review. Human moderators may determine what action is appropriate.
Depending on the circumstances, MU20 may remove posts or comments, restrict functionality, suspend accounts or terminate accounts in accordance with our Terms of Use and Community Guidelines.
6. Who processes information
MU20 uses service providers to operate the Platform.
These may include:
Clerk
Provides authentication and account-management infrastructure.
Google
Processes information when you choose Google Sign-In.
Apple
Processes information when you choose Sign in with Apple.
PostHog
Provides product analytics.
Sentry
Provides crash reporting and diagnostics where enabled.
Cloud hosting and storage providers
Provide infrastructure used to operate the Platform, APIs, databases and media/file storage.
These providers may process information on MU20's behalf or, in the case of authentication providers, as necessary to provide the service you choose to use.
They are not used by MU20 to serve advertising in the Platform.
7. Advertising and sale of data
MU20 does not:
Display third-party advertising in the mobile application
Sell personal information
Use personal information for behavioural advertising
Use personal information for cross-app advertising tracking
Product analytics are used to understand and improve MU20, not to build advertising profiles.
8. Security
MU20 uses reasonable technical and organisational measures intended to protect personal information.
Production communications between the Platform, our backend/storage and third-party services use encrypted connections such as HTTPS/TLS.
No online system can guarantee absolute security.
9. Data retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary to:
Operate the Platform
Provide the relevant programme or service
Maintain security and prevent abuse
Resolve disputes and support requests
Meet legitimate operational requirements
Comply with applicable legal obligations
Different categories of information may therefore be retained for different periods.
Aggregated or anonymised information that no longer identifies an individual may be retained for analytics and product improvement.
10. Account deletion
You can request permanent deletion of your MU20 account:
In the app: Profile → Delete Account
Online: https://mu20.world/delete-account
Deleting your account is different from deactivating it.
When deletion is confirmed:
Access to the deleted account ends
You are signed out
Identifying profile information is anonymised or removed from the active account
Public visibility of your forum posts and comments is removed
The corresponding authentication record is deleted from Clerk.
The deleted account cannot subsequently be restored through normal sign-in
If you later use the same email address to register again, that registration is treated as a new account rather than restoration of the deleted account.
Deletion does not necessarily mean that every technical record disappears immediately.
MU20 may retain limited information where reasonably necessary for security, abuse prevention, legal compliance or legitimate operational purposes. This may include non-identifying account records, hidden copies of content or files, and certain support or operational records.
Aggregated or anonymised analytics may also remain.
For more information, see our Delete Your MU20 Account page.

Access information available through your account
Correct or update profile information
Choose whether to provide optional profile information
Choose whether to upload photos, videos, documents or files
Delete your account
Contact us regarding your personal information
Withdraw consent where processing depends on consent
Withdrawal of consent does not retrospectively invalidate processing that lawfully occurred before withdrawal.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the Platform, our practices or applicable requirements change.
Where appropriate, material changes will be communicated through the Platform or this page.
